These Terms govern your use of the Oscar software, this website, and any related services (together, the "Service").

2. The Service

Oscar is a software application you install and run on your own device. Oscar's core behaviour — reading your files, running commands, and completing tasks you ask for — runs locally on your device. Some features rely on cloud AI providers and infrastructure we operate or contract with; where that is the case, this is disclosed in our Privacy Policy.

3. Accounts and registration

To download certain versions of Oscar, or to access account features (billing, device management), you must register an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to register.

4. Plans, billing, and cancellation

Oscar is offered under several paid plans (Basic, Standard, Professional, and Power), each with a monthly price and intended usage level, as described on our pricing page. Payment is processed by Stripe, Inc.; we do not store your full payment card details ourselves. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your account's billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not provide partial-period refunds except where required by law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• break any applicable law, or infringe another person's rights;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, account, or data, including another customer's devices reached through Oscar's own device-pairing features;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Oscar software, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits this;
• resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own competing product without our prior written consent;
• knowingly transmit malware, or use the Service to attack other systems.

6. Your content and instructions

You retain all rights to the files, code, and data on your own device, and to the instructions you give Oscar. We do not claim ownership of anything you create using Oscar. Where a task you ask Oscar to perform requires sending information to a third-party AI provider or service, that transmission and its handling are described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Licence grant

Subject to these Terms and your payment of applicable fees, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Oscar software on devices you own or control, for your own personal or internal business use. This licence does not include the right to distribute the software itself; you may extend Oscar's functionality only through the trick/extension mechanism Oscar itself provides.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms and do not remedy the breach within a reasonable period after notice, or immediately for serious breaches (including security violations or non-payment). You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will give you reasonable notice (such as an email or an in-product notice) before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law
